However, as I began to research my future career path that would focus in graphic design, I discovered that a second bachelor's degree in the field can provide the necessary technical and practical skills to do well in this field. In this research, I will look at the criteria and possibilities for obtaining a second bachelor's degree in graphic design in the United Kingdom or Cyprus.

 Many universities in the United Kingdom offer three-year second Bachelor's degree programmes in Graphic Design. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in any subject, with some universities requiring a minimum grade of 2:1 or equivalent. The University of the Arts London, which offers a BA (Hons) Graphic Design, and the University of Brighton, which offers a BA (Hons) Graphic Design with Typography, are two examples of universities that offer such programmes. Both programmes teach students the fundamentals of graphic design, including branding, advertising, and digital media, to name a few.
 In addition to traditional Bachelor's degree programmes, the UK offers a variety of part-time and online graphic design courses for those looking to improve their skills. The Open College of the Arts, for example, offers a flexible, distance-learning Graphic Design programme that can be completed in two to five years. This programme covers topics such as typography, image creation, and digital media design, among others.
 Moving on, there are several options for people who want to pursue a second Bachelor's degree in graphic design in Cyprus. An extensive range of subjects, including design theory, typography, and visual communication, are covered in the four-year BA (Hons) Graphic Design programme at the University of Nicosia. A comparable programme is also provided by the European University of Cyprus, with an emphasis on practical abilities like branding, illustration, and web design. In general, obtaining a second Bachelor's degree in graphic design can give students the theoretical knowledge and real-world experience they need to succeed. There are numerous programmes and courses available in the UK and Cyprus to accommodate various needs and preferences, whether it be full- or part-time study, online learning, or hands-on training.

However, I also had a strong connection to Cyprus, as my father's family had moved to Cyprus from Armenia when he was 14 years old. My mother's family, on the other hand, had moved to Cyprus from Russia, which added another layer to my multicultural background.

    As someone with such diverse roots, I've always felt a bit of an identity crisis. Cyprus is a small island, and the people here tend to be very nationalistic. Being both Cypriot and Armenian, and having Russian heritage, I often felt like I didn't fit in completely with either group. I was too Cypriot to be considered fully Armenian, but too Armenian to be considered fully Cypriot. And with the added layer of Russian heritage, I often felt like an outsider.

    In recent years, the situation in Armenia and Azerbaijan has been particularly tense. The two countries have been engaged in a long-standing conflict over the region of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is located within Azerbaijan's borders but is populated primarily by ethnic Armenians. Both sides have made territorial claims over the region, and violent clashes and ceasefire violations have been ongoing for decades.
    In 2020, the conflict escalated into a full-scale war, with both sides using heavy artillery and drones to attack each other's positions. The conflict resulted in thousands of deaths and displaced many civilians from their homes. As someone with Armenian heritage, I felt a deep sense of sadness and concern for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
    The conflict has since been officially declared over, with a ceasefire agreement signed in November 2020. However, tensions and occasional skirmishes have continued to occur along the border. The situation remains fragile, and it is my hope that a lasting peace can be achieved for the sake of all those affected by the conflict.

    Negotiations have so far failed to produce a permanent peace agreement, and the dispute in the region remains one of post-Soviet Europe's "frozen conflicts".

    Karabakh is the Russian rendering of an Azeri word meaning "black garden", while Nagorno is a Russian word meaning "mountainous". Ethnic Armenians prefer to call the region Artsakh, an ancient Armenian name for the area.
    Over the years both sides have had soldiers killed in sporadic breaches of the ceasefire. Landlocked Armenia has suffered severe economic problems due to the closure of borders with Turkey and Azerbaijan.

    As someone who has always felt a strong connection to my Armenian roots, it is difficult to see my ancestral homeland embroiled in such a conflict. But I remain hopeful that with continued diplomacy and efforts towards peace, a brighter future can be achieved for both Armenia and Azerbaijan.

I was excited to help out in any way I could.

    One of the ways I contributed to the art auction was by donating three pieces of my own artwork for the auction. It was a little nerve-wracking to see my work up for bidding, but I was proud to be part of the event and to know that the money raised would be going towards supporting the students and our future projects.

    On the day of the event, I arrived early to help set up and make sure everything was in place. The space was buzzing with energy as other volunteers and students worked together to organised artwork, set up tables, and get the auction items ready.

    Once the event started, I was tasked with wrapping up the sold artwork and getting it to the buyers quickly. This was a bit of a challenge, as the bidding was fast-paced and the items were selling quickly. But with the help of other volunteers, we were able to wrap and deliver the artwork to the buyers in record time.

    Throughout the event, I loved seeing the excitement and passion of the students as they talked to potential buyers about their work. It was clear that they had put a lot of time and effort into their projects, and it was amazing to see them getting recognition and support from the community.

    Overall, volunteering at the art auction was a fantastic experience. Not only was I able to support other students and their projects, but I also had the opportunity to connect with other art lovers and see some truly inspiring pieces of work. I would definitely do it again in a heartbeat!

    Each theory has its own strengths and weaknesses, and they all offer different ways of looking at art.

    POLITICS

    The program was founded in 2009, with the aim of bringing together young people from both communities and promoting peace, understanding, and friendship between them. Every summer, around 40 teenagers from each community are selected to participate in the program, which with you get chosen to go to a one week camp in cyprus or a four week residential in the USA which may take place in different states for different individuals New Hampshire, San Francisco, California, Portalnd, Oregonr and Maryland Dc. When I took part in CFP all participants had to go through an interview and depending on the interview they would choose if you'd attend the camp or go to USA. 

    Now The CFP Program has changed and has become a 2 year program.
    YEAR 1 -> A one-week campm in Cyprus. 
    YEAR 2 -> A four-week residential in the USA.

    part4: Acceptance of Program Rules. 

    During the program, the teenagers stay either at the camp or with American host families where the teens pair up if they are chosen to go to America one Greek Cypriot and one Turkish Cypriot, participate in various educational and cultural activities, and engage in dialogue and team-building exercises. Through these experiences, they learn about each other's culture, history, and way of life, and build lasting friendships across the borders.

    The Cyprus Friendship Program has been recognised internationally for its efforts to promote peace and reconciliation in Cyprus. Many of its alumni have gone on to become leaders in their communities and work towards a peaceful resolution of the Cyprus conflict.

    Almudena Romero, born in Madrid in 1986, is a London-based visual artist who works extensively with various photographic techniques. In her artistic practice, she explores themes related to identity, representation, and ideology using photographic processes. Through her works, Romero examines the impact of perception on existence and the role of photography in shaping our perception of the world. Her art aims to shed light on how photography can influence our understanding of reality.

    Romero talked about her work through out the years. One of her series called "Performing Identities" drew my attention the most. Almudena Romero suggests that the concept of objectivity in relation to photography is rooted in Western culture and was closely tied to the rationalist ideology of the 19th century. However, she also notes that this notion of objectivity was often used to support discriminatory practices such as surveyance, differentiation, and exclusion.
    According to Romero, the legacy of this historical context is still present today, particularly in the way that identification is linked to identity. For instance, in Spain, ID cards are referred to as identity cards, which reinforces the idea that one's outer appearance reflects their inner self.
    However, Romero notes that digital photography has changed the way we view the medium, and has allowed us to question the idea of photographic truth and objectivity. The ease with which photographs can be edited and manipulated has made us more aware of the subjectivity of photographic evidence.
    Overall, Romero suggests that photography can never truly be objective, as it is always influenced by the photographer's views and perspective. However, she also acknowledges that the medium can still be used to convey important truths and messages, as long as we remain aware of its limitations and potential biases.
    I was really impressed by Romero's work. Her focus on performance and identity really resonated with me, and I appreciated the way she approached these complex topics with thoughtfulness and nuance.     I just wanted to share my experience with the Final Year, Future You program that was offered to final year students. As a final year student, I applied to be a part of this program to help me prepare for life after graduation.

    The program ran throughout February for 2 weeks on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday evenings, and was exclusively open to final year students like myself. The sessions were delivered by alumni and employers who shared their experiences and provided practical solutions to the challenges we might face after graduation.

    During the program, we covered various topics that were highly relevant to our transition to the workplace. We learned about professional etiquette, which was incredibly helpful in terms of knowing how to make a good impression when entering the workplace. We also focused on our wellbeing and resilience, which was important for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The program also helped build my confidence, which has been invaluable in my job search process in the future.

    One of the highlights of the program was the opportunity to meet with employers who had live vacancies and were actively recruiting final year students like myself. It was an excellent opportunity to explore different career paths and get a better understanding of what potential employers were looking for.

    Overall, the Final Year, Future You program was an incredibly valuable resource for me as I prepare for life after graduation. It was an interactive and engaging experience that allowed me to take part in workshops and speak with alumni and employers to prepare for my future self and engage with other final year students.

    Since completing the program, I have successfully completed the FYFY program and even had a graduation ceremony, which was an amazing experience. Thanks to the Final Year, Future You program, I feel more prepared to enter the workforce and succeed in my chosen field.

    The UN buffer zone/ borders are also known as the "Green Line" or the "Attila Line." They were built following Turkey's invasion of Cyprus in 1974 and are constantly monitored by army soldiers from both sides. While there are several border crossing points, people can only cross if they have the necessary permits. To control the movement of people and goods between the two sides, these crossing points have restrictions and are closely monitored. It is critical to remember that tensions still exist along Cyprus's borders, and violence and disagreements have taken place in past years.
