I thought that we can put a lot of colors, shapes, and lines in different strokes and in any way that we wanted. I perceived artwork to be easy, as long as I used great colors. I never considered the form- then I realized that I was wrong. I did not see that I could do more with my materials if I had only learned the different styles and techniques in painting before. Regarding its purpose, I thought that painting is just done because an artist loves to paint. I did not acknowledge that there is a reason behind every painting- may it be a personal reason, or that it is made to appreciate beauty. To be specific, I learned that there were a lot of artists that used Fresco painting. After the module, I could also determine the different styles of painting by the way the elements are used and arranged. I finally gave importance to the painting's form. Some important aspects to consider are perspective, lighting, themes, and materials. Elements such as line, space, texture, color, and value can be used to convey a message in painting as well. Because of these, there is a foundation to why a painting is considered beautiful. Because of the module, I learned to give significance to paintings and of course, its respective artists. The artists indeed exert effort in creating this because a lot of things are considered for its form.
