for me the most effective way of developing perseverance for me is through looking at other people (my family, my friends) who have already succeeded in the area where i want to discover my potential.
I think that having a great example in front of you prevents you from giving up.
The example that resonates with me is of Jay-Z, because music is all about greater people who you look at

I find mixed planning (SMART and long-term goals) the most effective way of developing perseverance. Planning helps you to understand your weaknesses and strengthens, a picture of your "ideal future" - what you have to do to make it true.

For me those tips are not different, they are like steps to reach perseverance, then I can’t say we have to do only one of them, together they are much more efficient. SMART chart helps to define goals, planning helps to define steps to success, mentor helps to follow them and positive surroundings helps not to quit and feel comfortable

Be patient, do not give up. If you understand someone needs what you're doing - find these people. J.K. Rowling needed at least 13 attempts to find them, but she finally did. And so will you, if you are patient.

I find the 'plan' method to be the most effective. When you have a specific plan you know exactly what, how and when you have to do and that helps you to complete your tasks in the right time and reach your long-term goal.
