Due to some problems with my residence permit, therefore, I came to Finland late for 2 weeks. And today, this is my first Finnish lesson as well. Actually, I do not know much about Finland, and fortunately, there is one group to present Finland in general. I have got some useful information about Finland as a whole. I have learned:

- The Maantiede (Geography): to know where exactly Finland is.

- The Maisema (Landscape): a beautiful country with stunning landscapes in winter and spring.

- The “Luonto” (Nature): reindeer is a special animal in Finland

- The Kausi ja Sää (Season and Weather): as we all know the winter in Finland, really cold in winter, in spring it’s a little bit warmer.

- The Väetö (Population): we have learned about the Finnish population, age structure, …

- The Kaupunkeja (Cities) of Finland: Helsinki is the capital, two bigest cities are Turku and Tampere.

- Education: I have had a fundamental understanding of Finnish education system. All children no matter what their gender, age, origin, parent’s income … have the equal right to get educated. The Ministry of Education and Culture prepares the education policy and the National board of Education implements, monitors and develop it. From 1919 until this year, the constitution provides free access to study at any level. A master degree is required for teachers at any level.
- Architecture: I really like the architect structure of Finland, there are a lot of historical buildings which are stunning. It is the mixture of conventional and modern combination.

I did really enjoy watching this group presenting. Not only because of the topic is really easy-approaching but also they included some stunning visuals. There are so many holidays and festivals in Finland throughout the year, but what impresses me most is the "Juhannus" (Midsummer) and the "Juolu" (Christmas) holidays. On Juhannus holiday, we as students have a summer break with a lot activities like bonfires, barbecues and picnics, visiting the cottage , ...
On Juolu holiday, I think it is the biggest holiday in Finalnd. We have a long break during this holiday to celebrate Christmas and New Year also.
+ We also have learned some food and drink vocabularies. In the middle of the lesson, we sing along to a song that includes some vegetables vocabularies. It's really amazing.
VIDEO

I have got the basic information about Lapland. I have not been there but with the presentation of this group, I really want to come there once times in my life because it is amazing, beautiful. Too many breathtaking views, especially in the winter, it is all white. Lapland is supposed to be where Santa Clause comes from. And the bottom line is in Lapland you can enjoy the most beautiful northern lights in the world. There are lots of activities for you to don in Lapland as well such as snow mobiling, skiing and snowshoes, visiting Santa Clause's house, and especially ice fishing. I am so into fishing, and I can't wait to experience how ice fishing in Finland is.
In addition, there are some festivals for you to take part in as well like Midnight Sun Festival and International Folk Festival
