Endorsing this bill will allow for Associate nursing students access and experience to possibly begin the journey of nursing care. Preventing Associate nurses from learning and practicing the basic skills of nursing care will only jeopardize the nurse workforce and cause more harmful events to patients.
AB 2759 when passed will have a positive impact on nurses. AD Nurses will be able to find jobs and gain work experience and if they choose to, pursue higher education while working.  The passing of this bill will support the work force of nursing.  As schools are becoming increasingly expensive and more competitive a bridge from a community college to a university is more realistic especially for a working parent.
