I have managed to tick off my personal target as I managed to completely finish off my mood board and I am now ready to move onto completing my project proposal which is something I will start on my home study tomorrow and complete in Thursday's lesson. I enjoyed creating my mood board as it allowed me to put all of my ideas into one place and express the vision I have for my own magazine.

I managed to complete my powerpoint pitch and I am completely ready to present it to my tutor. I feel as though my powerpoint has included all aspects as I included screenshots of my project proposal and images that are included in my mood board and this allowed me the ability to discuss all of my plans for my project in a detailed and visual way. Personal Target: By the end of today I would like to of pitched my idea to my tutor and then started on my existing professional practice documents individually, I would like to have these all finished by the next lesson so me and my group can begin on the group documents.

Looking at job roles for my project, me and my group who are aiming to create a fashion magazine for C.A.S.T have discussed job roles and it goes as follows:
Ceile = Photo Editor and Editor
Leah = Model and Writer
Charlotte = Model and Director
Latoa = Photographer and Interviewer

We have decided we are going to create a 7 page magazine and this includes a cover page, Ceile's own fashion page, Leah's own fashion page, Latoa's own fashion page and Charlotte's own fashion page, interview with the fashion students page and the final page will be made up of different fashion quotes. The fashion pages will include me and Charlotte who are the models modelling outfits based on 4 different spring/summer occasions.

I have completed my personal target today which I am extremely happy with as it ensures that I am staying on task and getting work done on the desired day. Personal Target: Today I would like to completely finish my individual documents which includes the existing professional practice templates such as the job profile, industry professional profile, requirements and solutions and I would like to complete the task which me and Ceile are sharing which is the target audience research.

Today I managed to complete a lot of pre-production documents which I am extremely relieved about due to the fact our production needs to be completed by the 30th of May. I started off the lesson as I always do with typing out our team minutes of meeting and then I went on to complete the Target Audience Research document with the help of Ceile, we discussed some primary research to complete and findings we would like to find with both secondary and primary research and Ceile went ahead on typing out some questionnaire questions on survey monkey, whilst I scoured the internet finding answers to our secondary research questions. I also completed my production and requirements solutions worksheet which I found extremely beneficial as it helped me understand what could go wrong as my job role is so important as a writer helps tie a whole magazine together. However, today we hired out the photography studio and shot all of the images for our fashion magazine and I modelled 4 different outfits for the fashion magazine, 2 of my own outfits and 2 for Ceile's fashion page. We all based our outfits upon a summer event and mine was a summer BBQ, Ceile's was a day at the beach, Latoa's was festival looks and Charlotte's was evening wear for a summer night. The photoshoot went extremely well and Latoa photographed some really high quality images of me and Charlotte which will be featured very proudly within the fashion magazine which we have decided to call Radical, as this name represents difference and people standing out which is what fashion is all about and nobody's fashion style is ever the same. Through our time on production, I feel as though I have taken on a leadership role as I am always the person who reminds the rest of the group the documents which have to be completed by the end of the day and I am very much on task with documents that haven't been completed and people within the group are always asking me for reassurance that the work they're completing is correct and when Ceile is editing images, she knows how I would like the images to appear to the audience and therefore she always asks me before she saves an image if it is of the best quality possible. I am an extremely organised person so I am more than happy to of taken on this leadership role within the group as I always remember everyone's individual preproduction documents and always remind others what work needs to be emailed to the rest of the group. I believe I am the most organised within the group as I have even wrote up a checklist on my phone of work that I need to complete individually for the production process and this, along with the production schedule helps keep me on task.

I managed to complete the production process document and it was very straight forward as we were fortunate to of taken photos of us setting up the camera equipment and behind the scenes images of our photoshoot and overall production process. I wasn't able to transcribe the interviews with the fashion students today due to the fact that Latoa hasn't actually conducted the rest of the interviews with the fashion students but this will all be completed tomorrow. I also complete the team meeting at the start of every lesson, this is something which I enjoy doing as it allows me to practice my writing before I start writing up text within the magazine.

I am extremely proud of the work I managed to complete today, I completed more work than I assumed I would be able to complete before the end of the lesson so I feel completely on track. I have completed all of my preproduction documents and so have Ceile and Charlotte, we're still all waiting for Latoa to finish the Rushes Log but if I keep chasing her up to complete this, hopefully this will be on my Padlet page for Thursday. The day started off with me completing the team meeting like I do at the start of each production day, I then went on to completing the production schedule and I refer back to this constantly to ensure I know what work I and the rest of my group need to complete to ensure we never fall behind and I am always reminding people of any work that needs to be emailed to the rest of the group. As much as I feel as though this group works well together, I do feel as though Ceile, Charlotte and me are completing a lot more work than Latoa is and I am constantly trying to help her but I wasn't meant to be the person who was going to transcribe the interviews with the fashion students but I ended up doing it because Latoa still hasn't completed some of her preproduction documents. Latoa interviewed the fashion students this morning and she did a good job and I spent half an hour of today's lesson transcribing this interview and cutting bits out that weren't relevant to our fashion magazine, the interview wasn't great as the fashion students could've opened up more and gone into more detail but we have decided we may find another couple of students around college who have a very individual sense of style and asking them to describe their fashion style and where they may of purchased their outfit from. I then typed up some focus group questions that related to mine and Ceile's target audience research document and me and Ceile conducted a focus group with Chloe and Charlie as they had never heard of our idea and so their thoughts and opinions were completely real and honest. I then uploaded our focus group as a YouTube video as this makes it easier to upload to my Padlet page. I have begun writing up the text for my fashion page and soon to completing my action plan. The action plan is taking longer than expected due to it being a longer document which needs more detail to ensure it is up to a high standard. Being the writer for the magazine means that I am including text for each page within the magazine, which is a big responsibility but I am happy with my job role as I enjoy developing my writing skills and descriptive skills. I begun searching up where some of my outfits were from and this allows me to find out prices and if they're still accessible to the public, but writing for the magazine is my main job role so I don't want to rush it and produce text that I am not entirely proud of.

Today, before our lesson even started, me and the rest of our production team hired out the photography studio to aim to produce our image that will be used for the front cover. We started off with testing out the lighting and aiming to change some of the settings that were set out wrong on the camera in order to produce the highest quality image possible, however nothing went to plan. The images were extremely bad quality and even with the help of the technician Dave, the images just weren't coming out to a professional standard. So, we made the decision to scrap this and instead we will try and produce an image for the front cover in an outside location to help reflect to a more of a summer theme. When the lesson started, Ceile and me sat in on a tutorial all about indesign with Lewis and this was extremely beneficial as it allowed me to learn skills about how to produce a magazine in an actual magazine programme, it allowed me to find out about how text would be placed into a magazine format on the indesign application, this tutorial took up the first half of the lesson but as I learnt skills such as how to fit text into a magazine format without thew text entering onto the image, it was extremely interesting to learn about. After the lunch break, the rushes log was finally sent over to us from Latoa, however no images were included on this document, so I ended up having to add in every single photo individually onto the rushes log myself and add more detail into the text, even though this document was not meant to be completed by me. I missed out on time on completing the text for my own page but I ensure this will be completed before the next lesson. Today was quite difficult as the photography studio didn't quite work out this morning as there were many issues that that we couldn't actually overcome as the camera quality just wasn't up to the standard of the previous one we had used for the images that are being showcased throughout the rest of the magazine and then I ended up having to complete a document which wasn't actually intended for me. I managed to tick off my personal target which I am extremely happy about as the deadline for this unit is getting closer now. I tried to be as creative and informative as possible and described where I got each outfit from and all of which were High Street stores which will be beneficial within the magazine as all of my outfits are extremely affordable and as our magazine is targeted to people of our same age group and people of our age group may not have much money to go and purchase clothes from designer stores so this is a good aspect that I have managed to include within the magazine so that is extremely positive. By this point we realised we hadn't actually managed to produce a good quality image for our front cover of the magazine and therefore Charlotte and me, on our lunch break, found a really pretty background which we believed represented summer as the sun was shining and Charlotte was wearing a summery outfit so we decided this was the perfect opportunity to photograph some images. I was the photographer during this part of production and we didn't actually hire out any equipment from the college as I had brought my own camera with me and so we managed to just produce the images using this. The photos came out extremely well and the photo I have included below is the one we have chosen for the front cover image. Today was extremely productive as I managed to complete the text for my fashion page and I am happy with the way it turned out as I believe it to be really interesting and worth the read for people of our target group. All work was completed today which is a huge relief, I was confident that I would be able to meet the deadline and I managed to do so. We then  as a group presented our magazine to C.A.S.T using the PowerPoint presentation that Charlotte created. Overall, I am extremely proud of our finished magazine as I believe it looks completely professional and I am also very happy with the amount of work that was completed within this unit as I believe it is all up to my best standard.
