This is our Virtues Jar! The Scavenger Hunt is about finding a Virtue gem and filling the jar. Every time a student does something special, like, being generous, extremeley polite or including friends, they get to put a gem into the jar. So, we scavenge for gems of virtues to filll this jar. Now that it is full, we will have a class party to celebrate our successful hunt!

There won't be a photo due to privacy issues but we organized an activity for overcoming the behavioural differences. Students had to write one positive thing about EVERY SINGLE ONE of the classmates on a heart, and then place those hearts into each other's folders. They couldn't write who the heart is from. After that we decorated a bigger heart each one had with smaller hearts and talked about the importance of communicating when we don't like someone's behaviour. Everyone's takeaway - positive mood and uplifted spirits!

Literally falling asleep during VC. How I tried to overcome it - by coming home and taking naps. Thank goodness my kids are big enough to tend to themselves!

I ALWAYS separate personal from professional at work! Our new principal had no idea my husband and I were actually husband and wife until I pointed him out. And kids in my son's class didn't realize I was his mom. Because I treat my colleagues and students professionally and don't play favorites (even with my own family)
