I liked this one the most, I think the imagery was the most effective in this section and I found it funny how fast Grendel got scared.

I partially feel sorry for grendel, because on one hand he didn't ask to be born of pain. It was almost like his natural instict to be a monster. But on the other hand I don't feel sorry because he was in fact terrorizing, murdering, and destroying villages full of people.

This section was entertaining, and kinda anti-climatic with how the fight turned out. The Grendel didn't put much of a fight at all making it like a "bully gets bullied" type thing.

I think the ending of this section was relieving. Denmark was finally freed from Grendel's terror, and Beowulf was able to maintain his reputation as a hero. It was also the most "action-packed" section so far with all the imagery.

It was pretty interesting to finally get to the battle we've been building up to. I liked it even though its a big gruesome and intense it goes along well with the story and it was satisfying to see Beowulf coming out on top as predicted.

Because of how many lives and towns that were ruined by him, I can't really feel sorry for the demon. Because I put myself too much into the citizens shoes, and seeing how in this section arriving to the hall with his cocky and bloodthirsty attitude its difficult to not say he had that coming.

I don't necessarily feel bad for Grendel even though that is one way to go out with your entire shoulder and arm getting ripped off. I find it ironic that he dies to once was his prey. The roles were flipped to Grendel being the prey and Beowulf being the predator.

I feel some sympathy for him because it's not his fault for being born from hate and pain and it had said that he was killing the people for revenge for something they did, but at the same time he was killing people for 12 years, and even if he had been wronged he probably killed way more than just the people who were involved.

I like how this section is described, I like how you can feel what some of the characters are feeling. I don't like that in that fight that someone had died, the way it seemed set up to me is that Beowulf was not the first person in reach. they didn't need to build a fake sense of security as Grenel was already confident as no one had been able to defeat him yet. Not a fan of a life lost that had a seemingly easy fix.

This section of the story, made it interesting for me as I felt it explained more of what was happening throughout the story. Beowulf defeating a descendent of Cain and Abel shows how powerful Beowulf is.

Overall, I don't feel bad for Grendel. He was causing terror on Herot, is a monster/demon, and was finally defeated. On the other hand, Grendel might have been getting revenge for something that the people of Herot did, and it surprises me that his first thought when fighting Beowulf was fear and to escape.

I think it was good but also low-key kind of bland because Grendel was defeated so easily, he didn't put up much of a fight. But at the same time it seemed like Beowulf was just fighting in order to gain recognition and not because he really cared about the people, kind of selfish and I would expect a hero to be selfless.

yes,I feel like he was destenided to be hated by God,he never wanted this and it even sid never knowing happiness. he was done wrong yes he was killer....but why?,we got nothing on his character but I made a story for him where he lives just because,I do think his death was also coming because he ofcourse he's a murderous monster I've seen killers that even I feel bad for in real life yet on the other hand....he needs more of his character explored like marvels loki.

This section was probably the most surprising to me. I knew the monster would be defeated, as that is how these stories usually go. I was shocked at how quickly Grendel was overpowered, along with how scared and pitiful he seemed.

I don't really take a side with this. On one hand he destroyed and took many lives. On the other we don't know his past, all we know is that he was born into this. Questions I have is was there any conflict leading up? How did he live before? What happened to his food source? These weighed on my mind as I read but I'm not a big fan of terrorizing a city for a long period of time.

At first, I did feel sorry for Grendel being brought into existence just to be hated but when he slaughtered those warriors, I no longer felt sorry for Grendel. He could have chosen to turn his back on these beings and ignore the loud music. Yet, he took it upon himself to seek violence and take innocent lives.

I do actually feel quite sorry for him. He had no choice of what he was born into. The people have cast him off into a dark cave and driven him mad with their music. He is a very hard character to feel bad for though, as his actions are so heinous and deplorable. You can't help but wonder if things could have been different though.

It started out rather suspenseful for me as I was 100% certain that Beowulf would end up dying against Grendel. This feeling of suspense quickly turned into laughter once Beowulf started manhandling Grendel to point where Grendel was unironically of Beowulf, a guy with nothing but armor on going against a beast known for tearing apart groups after groups of trained soldiers with ease.
