His debut album was released in 2006 and another "Want Some?" in 2007. In 2008, he moved to London, where he played small concerts every day, sometimes even for 5 people. In 2009, he played 312 concerts, wanting to break James Morrison's record - 200 concerts in the year he read in the interview. This year he bought a ticket and without knowing anyone he went to LA. There, he began to get more and more noticed, mainly through YouTube. He has released 3 EPs including "Ed Sheeran Live at the Bedford", "EP Live" and "Songs and Wrote with Amy", which is a collection of love songs that he wrote with another singer - Amy Wadge. On January 9, 2011, he released his final EP, "No.5 Collaborations Project." With this EP Sheeran won 1st place on the list in iTunes, without any promotion or advertisement. Already in the first week, it sold over 7,000 copies. He was mentioned as a "special guest" at Devlin in 2011. Tickets for his first UK tour were sold out within a few hours. On April 12, 2011, Ed arranged a free show for fans in Barfly, Cadmen. About 1,000 fans came to see this show, so Sheeran played 4 different shows to make sure everyone could see his performance.

In January 2011, Ed Sheeran signed a contract with Atlantic Records and in August he will release his first album titled "+".
