Choose at least 1 of the thematic topic categories to focus on for this activity. Write down lines from 4.2 and 4.3 that best represent issues or exemplify the thematic topic. Complete a full S.E.A. for each example. So, like this: 1) Give clear context and summary. 2) Cite the lines like this: "Write the first line/write the next line" (4.2.15-19). 3) Use a verb of sophistication to briefly explain how your selected lines address the theme you selected. Be specific and use character names. Note: You can't use an example that is already being used for the same category. Also, underline or highlight/bold the verb of sophistication.

Bonus: Include images. How about a symbolic representation of the theme?

Macduff and Malcom are talking and Malcom is testing Macduff's loyalty. By pretending he would be a horrible ruler just like Macbeth, but Macduff proves he is loyal to Scotland not Macbeth. I would not be the villain that thou think’st

For the whole space that’s in the tyrant’s grasp,

And the rich East to boot. (4.2. 40-43) Macduff is saying how if he was the king he wouldn’t act horrible like Macbeth is. The lines show how Macduff is disloyal to Macbeth bc he is a terrible ruler, but Macduff is loyal to his home.
