I delegated a small imporvement project towards my colleague. All communication happened verbally. It worked very well and an improvement was made in the process.

Paolo - Slowly delegating more and more work that is not necessarily operational to my experts. On the topics where they are becoming the "subject matter experts" I'm expecting more decision making directly done by them.

I am positively surprised by the ownership that the team is achieving by empowering them in making certain decisions

For the more technical details and implementation, I delegated to the technical leads to fully define and scope the tasks needed to improve the scalability of the product, and just to let me know the ultimate solution. This was done verbally and through Slack.

Brecht: This was a technical issue with a zoom room where I needed to support with some technical knowledge to ensure the best decision was made. in the future I'm now confident for these type of issues my report can provide the analysis and confirm to go ahead.

Allowing my grad-trainee negotiate a rate with vendor, make an analysis of if its reasonable and within budget before my approval, and i saw this boost their confidence.
