Western Art ("Classical") Music canon in my own words is the most popular, by the publics choice, art and music from the western culture that defines what it is and how it affects and plays a role in everyday culture. According to the encyclopedia of Britannica canon the musical form and compositional technique, based on the principle of strict imitation, in which an initial melody is imitated at a specified time interval by one or more parts, either at the unison (i.e., the same pitch) or at some other pitch. I think listening to the various canon's gives the listeners a chance to see the composers or conductors feelings that they are giving off in the piece. Throughout my padlet I will give numerous examples, images, quotes, and music videos of Western Art Music canon through my perspective, how I percieve the works of art, and what my initial thoughts are on the pieces.
