         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mrs. Mattson gave this out as a Christmas gift to the English teachers a few years ago. I thought it was a brilliant example of remixing. She takes original candies (candy canes, a Kit Kat, and various other assorted candies - with a Santa Claus chocolate) and remixes them to create something totally original.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It's ironic that I can't find this on Youtube as Led Zeppelin (the masters of stealing from other artists) have made Fleming and John take it down. It is one of the best "mash ups" I've ever heard. And it's my favorite Christmas song!! It adds the the beat of Zeppelin's "Misty Mountain Hop" to the classic Christmas lyrics of "Winter Wonderland."</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Bastille's song "Of the Night" is a mashup of "The Rhythm of the Night" by Corona and "Rhythm is a Dancer" by Snap!. Bastille originally did this song as something fun because the lead singer was sick and they wanted to ease into recording. Now, it's become one of their most popular songs. They play it at shows, it's on their albums, and fans absolutely love it.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams' song 'Blurred Line' and Marvin Gaye's song 'Got To Give It Up" are undoubtably similar. There was actually a lawsuit by Gaye's family against Blurred lines.&nbsp;The beats in the background are almost exactly the same which lead to Gaye winning the lawsuit. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I'm not trying to be offensive with this, but I remember when we read <em>The</em> <em>Epic of Gilgamesh</em> and we talked about the similarities between it and the Bible. The biggest similarity between the two is the flood. For this flood, a giant boat needs to be built for the builder, his family, and some animals. For example, there is a pretty recent South Korean song that samples and remixes the American song What a Man. They were given permission and bought the rights to the song so they could do this.</div>]]></description>
