The lion dance symbolizes good luck and helps to drive evil spirits away. It is a very important part of the Chinese culture. In primary school during Chinese new year celebrations, we were told stories about Nian. For those who don't know, Nian is a monster which is afraid of the color red, loud noises and firecrackers. hence, every

year there would lion dances held in schools or outside to symbolize good luck and new beginnings.

福建麵 (Hokkien Mee) is a savory dish that I personally like. My grandma used to cook this before she got disabled and we when we used to have family gatherings, it's always a MUST to order hokkien mee. Hokkien mee will not be hokkien mee without the sweet and savory gravy will not. The eggs are sweet and savory to top off with the hokkien mee. I personally eat this at least twice a week at crescent market and everytime I eat it, it reminds me of my grandma's cooking and my family.

People add limes in their 福建麵 but I hate limes so I don't add it :D

No one ever talk about chinese traditional dresses.

These are scones. Scones are small, baked pastries that are slightly sweet or savory. They originated in the United Kingdom and are often enjoyed with clotted cream and jam, especially during afternoon tea. Scones are made from flour, butter, milk, and baking powder, giving them a soft and crumbly texture. I personally like to eat it with butter and strawberry jam, I used to eat it for breakfast almost everyday when I was in England. I have many fond memories of eating this with my family.
