His flaws were that he was very stoic which prevented people from getting close, he used alot of frontal assaults in battles which generated alot of casualties. In 1920 he failed to win the republican nomination for president.

He was at the top of his game when being promoted to the first 6 star General, but he gets lost in the famous Generals talk because he did alot without fanfare or during those time just remined professional and went about his business of winning the World War, but if it wasn't for his example in leadership many of the more notable Generals wouldn't exist today.
