Obstacles: "Keeping house" is a full-time job, "women's work" isn't paid work - not valued, stuck in double bind, not enough time in the day to do it all, societal expectations make it impossible to please or ever be good enough, being pretty is expensive and time consuming, images of women in the media set an impossible-to-achieve standard and make women feel bad about their natural, beautiful selves

Obstacles: There are hardly any obstacles to being upper-middle class, which can be considered an obstacle in and of itself.  I haven't had to work as hard as others to get somewhere in life.  Almost everything I've ever wanted has been handed to me, so I didn't know what it was like growing up having to go out and get things on my own or how to make something out nothing.
