Now that I am going through a rough time, however, I have looked to soccer for consolation and it has, in a way, kept me 'grounded.' I also included video games into my project since they are also a very strong interest that I hold. I feel as though I can improve my shading technique here, and I'm not a huge fan of drawing feet- in shoes or otherwise.

This was something I both liked and disliked with my project because, while I liked how it turned out, I wish I had put more thought into it; specifically regarding the background, if I could change and improve something about my project that would be it. I liked how the ink work turned out, however, specifically on the right side of the project where it has sort of a "spider web" or "tree root" kind of look to it. I think I did okay in showing the differences between geometric and organic, as I have some designs included that could be representative of both forms. I guess I tried going with a bit of a theme with this one, like with the circle in the middle sort of representing Earth and the geometric designs representing technology while the organic designs represented nature, kind of a battle between both sides, but I don't think I represented it well. ]]> 2017-05-17 15:13:46 UTC https://padlet.com/aantonucci1/6vne924vgw9m/wish/172357395 aantonucci1 https://padlet.com/aantonucci1/6vne924vgw9m/wish/172359458 Initially, I wanted to make the project a little more symbolic and have things cut out to represent the interests of the people who are "falling," and have the words surrounding them be more negative words as they fall and push through to the person on the bottom, who is letting them express themselves. Sadly, I did not have the time to do something like that and ended up just doing a different 'version' of my word idea. If I could change one thing about my project it would probably be to end up doing my initial idea, because I'm not a huge fan of the way the word thing turned out. I would also fix some things with my background, but overall I like how it turned out for the most part in that regard. I would fix some things with the figure on the bottom as well. Anyway, something I liked about my project was the way the figures who are 'falling' turned out, since I'm usually not very good at drawing the human form, specifically hands, I liked how they turned out. Pictured is someone putting on a cat's paws as if they were a product. If I could fix one thing about this project I would probably fix the shading on some of the objects, such as the paw on the table and the box. Other than that I quite like how it turned out, specifically the hand since I'm usually not very good at drawing those and I think that it turned out well. I also liked the shading I did underneath the paw that is reaching, since I thought I did that well as well. I learned some new techniques that I will try to remember as I move on (things such as drawing hands, hair, etc.), however I do not think I will continue to pursue drawing as an elective. I will continue to try drawing every once in a while as a hobby, and I am planning to go into graphic design as a future elective possibly, so the techniques and such learned here will help me move forward with that.
