The husks, the hair-like fibers, can be used as scrubs to help people polish their floors. The uses of the Ginkgo tree
People grow ginkgo trees for their beauty and the shade they give/have. Roasted ginkgo nuts are considered special foods in China and Japan! YUM! Ginkgo leaves are used in some medicines.These medicines can be  used to heal diseases like Azheimers disease, memory loss in elderly people, and conditions that reduce blood flow in the brain in elderly people.Ginkgo trees can grow anywhere except in Antarctica.                                                              Did you know?
The word ginkgo comes from the Chinese and Japanese words for silver nut or silver apricot.
Facts/details
Ginkgo's are very strong trees. They resist damage from insects and fungi, plantlike living things that sometimes grow on trees. City pollution also does not hurt Ginkgo's.
Ginkgo trees have the shape of a pyramid. They can sometimes grow to be 100 feet (30 meters) tall! Their trunks can be as much as 8 feet (2.5 meters) wide. Ginkgo leaves are a dark gray-green color. They have a tough, almost rubbery texture. They are shaped like fans with a split in the middle.
Reproduction
Ginkgo trees can be either male or female. Winds carry pollen from male trees to female trees.Then, female trees produce large seeds. The seeds look like round, silvery nuts surrounded by a scented, yellowish covering.
