My mom didn't expect my brother and I to be born at the time so we where both born at our home in Brooklyn New York. My twin brother Najji weighed about 2.8lbs and I weighed about 3lbs. Over that summer, I went to a summer camp ran by my Nana. She helped teach me a lot of basic adult things like pumping gas, depositing checks, and using a credit/debit card. Over that summer I also became immersed in internet culture. I started consuming a lot of media in my free time and my internet was completely unrestricted so I was introduced to a lot of new things. I fell in love with music around this time and I also had plenty of experiences that I get nostalgia from. The most prominent childhood memories I have took place here. I also get super nostalgic and feel extremely happy whenever I visit St. Croix.

Most of the memories I have here are smaller moments. I entertained myself in a lot of different ways while I was on the Island. I explored a lot in my grandparents backyard. My brothers and I weren't always allowed to play videogames or watch TV back then so we had to go outside and be creative. We played make believe to entertain ourselves. I used to get in trouble with my Nana pretty often and when I did I was forced to watch boring tennis matches with her. This move was the third major move I made as a child. At the time I had a very distorted view of what American school was like. I thought I was gonna be living in Hollywood and school was going to be like the TV shows I watched. I was completely mistaken.

I didn't have a great first year in California. It was hard for me to adjust to all the new things in the new environment. I was catapulted into a school with a bunch of kids who already knew each other and It took a while for me to fit in.  I was bullied in elementary school because of my name and my background. I was different than everyone else and it was hard for me to find common ground with my classmates. We moved to St. Thomas and we stayed with my great-grandparents. We stayed there until 2015. A lot of my earliest memories took place in St. Thomas.

I started playing soccer in St. Thomas and soccer is still my favorite sport today. I also started playing videogames and watching YouTube in St. Thomas. YouTubers influenced my personality back then, And to this day I still love playing videogames. I made my first real friends at my School in St. Thomas as well. Schools didn't end up re-opening until over a year later. During this time I didn't really talk to anyone at all outside of the family members I was living with. My outgoing and sociable personality turned into a more closed of anti-social personality. I also gained a lot of weight and I became generally unhealthy.

There where some negatives that came out of the quarantine but there where also some positives. My interest in Anime rekindled during online school and I started watching anime everyday during class. I also started listening to music more often which is something I still do to this day.
