When Paul was a baby he was as big as a wagon. when he snored the neighbors ran out of their houses shouting an earthquake was happening. when he sneezed he sent the birds from Maine to California.

When he was older he became a lumberjack. Everyone was nice to him,but no one was his size so he did not have any friends. one day during the big blue snow he found an ox but she was blue!! she was a baby. Nowadays we call it the great lakes. and the lumber company thought the best way to keep them happy was by making big meals for them so they hired a cook that had a giant pan and tools. and Paul Bunyan and babe went on a trip and made the river that goes right down in the middle of the country and later into the trip they made the grand canyon as they made their way to the west coast of California and yet they could still smell the pancakes.

One thing that people reported seeing is that while she was firing the cannon, a bullet went through the dress she was wearing! In the end, the Americans won. After the war, a soldier came up to her and said that General Washington wanted to see her. In a tent, General Washington thanked her for her service and gave her an award, which is the pension. She also got 40 dollars, which was decent pay back then. She married again, this time to George McCauley. When she died at age 77, her grave was next to her 2nd husband.

Before he got to the third state he had enough apple seeds to start planting so he did almost everywhere he went and planted an apple seed. For the rest of his journey he was doing just that. After a while he finished his journey and shortly after that he passed away. However, that is not how he got the name Johnny (Appleseed) it is what happened to the seeds. They sprouted and made hundreds of thousands of apple trees after that many people moved closer to the apple trees so their kids could live good lives. Most people did not know Johnny's real name about so he was named Johnny (Appleseed)

To sum up, everything that has been stated, Johnny Appleseed got his name from the apple seeds he planted for the people he loved.

But John Henry worked tirelessly, drilling with a 14 pound hammer, and going 10 to 12 feet in 1 whole workday.

Then one day a little fancy man in a fancy suit arrived. He was selling a steamed-powered machine that can drill through a rock. His machine was as big as a locomotive, and it spit fire and smoke into the air. John Henry said he could drill faster than the steamed- powered drill. People decided to do a contest, John Henry vs the steamed-powered drill. The drill was counted with less drills, and John Henry won, but sadly, John Henry died right after the contest. He was buried 12 feet south away from the railroad tracks where he worked.

That's how John Henry became an American folk hero, who symbolizes strength, and determination.
