1. "worker bee"- fishing for hours on end using different techniques to catch fish.
2. "passive angle"- patience and laziness is sometimes the key to catching fish.
3. "subsurface"- a lot of fish tend to stay below the surface of the water.

Fishing:
- "Go Subsurface" - Most fish stay beneath the surface. Change your lures often.
- "Know the Sport's Limitations" - fly fishing has limitations. Recognize them and move on.
- "Secondary Water" - If you are forced out of the prime water, you can still learn to fish on the "bad" spots.

Everyday Life
- "Worker Bee" - take whatever you are interested in to the next level. Put in enough work to get good.
- "Be Bold" - Sometimes it is good to be precise, but oftentimes it is important to try things that are new.
- "If it Makes you Happy" - There are many ways to measure success. Happiness is one of them, not only results.

Fishing Insights:
1) Facing and embracing diversity -- Fish whenever you can and that includes when you aren't comfortable in your environment.
2) Do what makes you happy -- If you enjoy fly fishing even if it is with the wrong techniques, all that matters is that you are happy.
3) Be ambidextrous -- If you are able to do everything with both hands then you can challenge yourself and have many more options to fish.

World Insights:
1) Just like you have to think creatively for fishing, you also have to think outside of the box in real life if you want to be considered a forward thinking individual.
2) Not only should you fish hard, but you should work hard and put your full energy and attention into everything you do.
