We wouldn't have to leave this planet and go searching for another one if we had taken care of it. If we spend our valuable resources on space exploration, we really won't know if they are going to invent a technology that can help with space exploration and our problems on Earth. Our valuable resources can be wasted because we don't even know if what they are doing will work. We should use the money that we spend on space exploration to help support the homeless and use it to create new jobs so that people can make money.
