When my students arrive, I greet them at the door and guide them into the classroom. They know to place their backpacks in the assigned area, turn in homework to the “Homework Folder,” and then begin the warm-up activity I have posted on the board. This helps everyone settle in quickly and sets a calm, focused tone for the day.

2. Transition Procedure Between Activities

When it is time to move to a new activity, I give a signal, such as ringing a chime or raising my hand. My students are taught to stop, look, and listen immediately. They put away their materials, get ready for the next task, and wait quietly until I release them. This keeps transitions short, smooth, and respectful of our learning time.
