In March the plant portacula was available to birds all over the island, But by june the population of portacula had dropped to 0% cause many of the smaller-weaker beaked animals to die off because of the new food source,  The tribulus seed, which only the strong beaked animals could chew.

At the time the drought ended in 1778, only a specific type of bird survived, which was the exact same type as the birds who had survived on the island in 1776 which points out how they are able to survive in these dire situations through natural selection.

in 1976 the average beak size was 9.65 by 10.71 but by the time the drought ended it increased to 10.55 by 11.61, this shows how natural selection and evolution changed the birds causing them to evolve and adapt.

the reason the portacula plants were so important is because the smaller birds ate them to survive, the tribulus seeds were to hard for them and there beaks could not brake them, this series of events led to the extintion of the smaller birds

This evidence Disproves the therory of migration if the birds are the same bird, then they never moved and no new birds were spotted on the island either which disqalifies the possibility of migration increasing their beak size.

This proves the theroy of natural selection because of the survivors.
