She is very accumulative and harkens to anything that her step father says. As on page 94 she repeats this after her step father, " GET THESE GOD D*MN F*** N***** KIDS OUT OF MY HOUSE!"
She is also ashamed about her skin color due to her step fathers racism. On page 95 it says "Heidi focuses her attention bacl on her brown arms, scrubbing".
