However, students' reading comprehension did not show a dramatic change. Not only did students have access to a classroom set of iPads and a shared cart of Chromebooks, but they are also able to bring a personal device from home to use in the classroom for academic purposes. It is a well known fact that technology is motivation and engaging for students. Technology plays a big role in the workforce compared to previous years. Due to the advancements in technology and the availability of it in educational settings, it is understandable that students should be exposed and prepared with the necessary tools in technology and programs. For starters, the Google applications are commonly used in my district and with each year passing, students become more and more familiar with its features and develop a level of comfort. EBooks were a new reading tool introduced to students during my case study, yet as the study went on, students became more comfortable using an iPad to access them and at the end preferred reading eBooks over printed books. At times, when students have to present in front of their peers, nerves can get the best of them, therefore the material presented does not come across as best as it could. Using programs like Seesaw and Flipgrid can allow students to record themselves, as many times as it takes, to get through a presentation they have prepared. The use of these programs allows students to talk into a camera without feeling the pressure of a room full of people staring at him/her. The presentation can them be shared through various forms of communication, for example, email, Google Classroom, and Seesaw accounts. Using these platforms can have many positives for students as well as for teachers.
