The National History of Romania has a rich patrimony including over 650,000 pieces, organized in the following collections: pottery, lapidarium – tegularium, numismatics, philately, medals-seals, jewels, manuscripts, printed works, plastic arts, decorative art, historical photographs, engravings, maps, metal, weapons and equipment, textiles and furniture. Over 3,000 wonderful and unique pieces, are displayed in the Historical Treasure. Made of precious metals and stones and some belonged to some ancient civilizations, who settled - throughout time - on the present territory of our country.

The scene represents an attempted rape, and it is spectacular and terrible at the same time. Apollo is caught just as he is finishing his run, the god has just managed to reach Daphne, and he touches her lightly with his left hand, perhaps with the intention of embracing her. Daphne, to escape the forced relationship, flaunts her nakedness against her will, and fights for her virginity: to escape Apollo's violence, in fact, the nymph suddenly brakes and arches her torso forward. The lower part of Daphne's torso, however, no longer responds to her will. The metamorphosis, in fact, has just begun: the left foot has already lost every human aspect, becoming a root, and so has the rest of her body until it becomes a laurel plant that will save her from the god. The artist's work is surprising because it is very realistic, more than a statue it looks like a photograph. The anatomy of the bodies is perfect enough to make the skin seem real and soft, as do the expressions on their faces.

The entrance hall house busts of Roman emperors, mosaic with gladiatorial struggles and a colossal Bacchus.

There is the room of “Paolina” with the famous architect of “Paolina Borghese come Venere Vittoriosa”.

Then there is also the room of “David” that is also called “Room of the sun”, and the David stands in the center of the room”. For the painting of Francesco Cacciangia. The statue of "David" was made by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, between 1623 and 1624.

Another room of the Hermaphrodite: the Dormant Hermaphrodite is one of the two copies of Polycletus' original bronze sculpture, the other exhibited at the Louvre is restored by Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
