Weaknesses- end users become more reliant to “at your finger tip” data and may not notice outliers or inaccuracy in data. (Data governance)

Opportunities- Quicker access to data for decision making.

Threats- Over-reliance on easy access to data without understanding how the data is derived may lead to poorly made decisions.

Identifying the needs of AI and having the resources needed to assist in the implementation. Currently acknowledging our weaknesses and having the willingness to find resolutions. Collaboration between departments on a consistent basis to identify needs, changes, and remove barriers to progress.

Working with confidential information can be scary to the students and their parents worrying that their information will be revealed to the public. While using the AI presents opportunities for growth and improves the convenience, it does give out a bit of the fear mindset wondering how to protect their privacy due to chatGPT pulling information from everyone’s private property without their permissions ,not to mention, they are being sued for that. How can we assure them of their safety and privacy?

We are already behind on finding ways to implement AI into our processes and workflow. We haven't provided resources on when to use AI, how to identify appropriate use, and set proper expectations on AI output.

From an institutional level implementation, we could be utilizing AI, such as chatbots, to assist students navigate the college experience. This could be from the point of applying all the way to graduation. Students could use AI to get through the College processes on registration, advising, financial aid, and the onboarding to access college and classroom resources.
