I like to be friends with funny outgoing people. I myself am very outgoing but for that to be shown I need to be around other outgoing people. I like to be around kind non judgmental people so I can feel safe and comfortable with them. I do think my friends are positive “mirrors” and if i start to think that they are not the best fit for me I will drift away from them because friends are always #1 role models and if I don’t like something my friend is doing I wouldn’t want it to rub off on me.

How media/technology has impacted my life

I think that media can make a positive impact but can also make a negative impact. But I hate it for the aspect of it being for communication. I will get into arguments with my friends when texting or calling who I never fight with because you can’t hear tone and can’t see facial features. I don’t like how normalized social media is because it leads to a lot of insecurities and hate that isn’t needed. I would much rather hangout with friends and talk in person than talking on the phone. But I love media for movies and tv shows because I think the movies I have watched now and growing up have shaped me as a person.

Why school is important

I think school is important because not only does it “prepare” you for the future it also helps you find lifelong friends and make connections with people. I used to move all the time which meant moving schools too and every time I would move my personality would change drastically. If I were to still be at one of my old schools I wouldn’t be the person I am today and I would be way different. And because of school I learned some important things from teachers and their advice will always be in the back of my mind.

My most important thing in my life is my sister. My sister has always been a big support in my life. My sister has taught me my morals, my rights from wrong and just makes sure i’m not doing stupid things. Me and my sister were never close growing up but eventually we came to a point where we started just telling eachother everything. My sister is a big role model in my life with how much she perseveres. She helps me see the good in bad situations. I don’t see this thing ever changing in my life. Sure me and my sister have disagreements and get into fights but she is a built in best friend.

The best piece of advice i’ve been given

The best advice i’ve been given is from my dean from middle school. She gave me pretty basic advice that many of people have said before but she made me actually understand it. I was having problems in 8th grade with a boy and he was just very rude to me but I kept going back to him and she told me that the best apology is change. I always thought of this as a corny piece of advice but she made me realize that change actually is the best form of an apology. I’ve gotten lots of apologies from people but rarely ever any change in actions so now I like to keep that in the back of my mind always.

My own topic

My own topic would be everything. I think that everything you take in your life impacts who you are. I’ve gone through a lot of experiences and have changed a lot. I think that people you surround yourself with really have an impact on how you are going to act. But I also think that the media you take in can influence you as a person. There’s so many endless possibilities of how we are how we are and it’s hard to put a finger on just one thing because every little thing that happens plays a part in creating who we are.
