         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The History of New Zealand is the story of an island in the southwest Pacific Ocean settled by two very different types of peoples.</strong></div><div><strong>Those peoples established settlements and were known as Polynesians and people of European ancestry. </strong></div><div><strong>Polynesians were water known as Māori. The history behind the Europeans and the Māori</strong> <strong>is very complicated.</strong></div><div><strong>They argued about land and authority and clashed about many other things in general.</strong></div><div><strong>As Europeans took over, they made the other people move to smaller settlements in other regions of the country.</strong></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>In New Zealand they celebrate many holidays.</strong></div><div><strong>One of the holidays that they celebrate is Anzac Day.</strong></div><div><strong>Another Holiday they celebrate is Waitangi Day.</strong></div><div><strong>They also celebrate Labour Day, The Royal Visit of 1953-54, The 1940 Centennial, Dominion Status, Empire Day, and Christmas in New Zealand.</strong></div><div><strong>Anzac Day, the ceremony marked on 25 April, the start of the Gallipoli conflict in the First World War. For New Zealanders it.</strong></div><div><strong>Every year on 6 February, New Zealand marks the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840. In that year, representatives of the British Crown and over 500 Māori chiefs signed what is often considered to be New Zealand’s founding document. The day was first officially commemorated in 1934, and it has been a public holiday since 1974.</strong></div><div><strong> Labour Day celebrates the struggle for an eight-hour working day, a right that New Zealand workers had been among the first in the world to claim. </strong></div><div><strong>The Centennial :In 1940 New Zealand celebrated its national coming of age.</strong></div><div><strong>On 26 September 1907 the colony of New Zealand ceased to exist. It became, instead, a dominion within the British Empire. For a few years, some New Zealanders celebrated Dominion Day with parades and public events. </strong></div><div><strong>Now almost forgotten, Empire Day was marked with parades, flag salutes and stirring speeches.</strong></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
