Stars are created to be represented to being 'real people' having real emotions relating to the average person making them more likeable. For example, stars will be built to have different views and personalities to create originality. Each star is represented as different to create an originality, standing out from other stars.

Dyer believes that 'stars' are constructed to have certain beliefs, values and attitudes. Audience can then relate to them because they share/admire the same ideas . Audiences then see the 'star' as their idol and aspire to be like them.

Many bands/artists across all genres posses a star image; for example, One Direction, Rhianna, Lana Del Ray, Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
