         <title>Yes, I think that Philippine Ayta people have the most Denisovan DNA. According to research, Ayta Magbukon is found to be the most modern Denisovan DNA in the world because most of the ancestors of the Ayta are Denisovan. Ayta Magbukon has a 5% percent Denisovan ancestry which is higher than other peninsulas. I believe that their traditions are well-connected to the Denisovan and stayed in that single place to preserve their bloodline. Since their bloodline doesn&#39;t mix with lowland people which means to say that their DNA around them would never be mixed with others instead it would still connect to the Denisovan DNA.  </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to a study, Denisovan genes were abundant among ISEA (Island Southeast Asia) populations and going back in our human history, the Philippines Negritos was the first group of people who migrated in the Philippines that carry the most Denisovan DNA. As our original ancestors encountered and interacted with these immigrants, it is given that interbreeding was inevitable and often pervasive. Hence, I believe that Ayta people having the most Denisovan DNA is not far from being a fact.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Further, with the aid of population genetic data and computational analyses, a new paper investigating the ancient ancestry across several Philippine ethnic groups claims that <strong>Ayta Magbukon have the highest level of Denisovan ancestry in the world.</strong> This is owing to the Ayta magbukon people's lesser admixing with more recent incoming immigrants compared to those who migrated earlier <em>(Genomeweb, 2021)</em>, causing them to maintain most of their inherited archaic tracts and leave them with the highest level of Denisovan ancestry.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>References:</div><div>Luntz, S.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Yes, according to researchers, they have known from several lines of evidence that the ancient hominins known as the Denisovans interbred with modern humans in the distant past. Now researchers reporting in the journal </strong><strong><em>Current Biology</em></strong><strong> on August 12 have discovered that the Philippine Negrito ethnic group known as the Ayta Magbukon have the highest level of Denisovan ancestry in the world.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Denisovan DNA was the way to know who are the people that got the ancient hominids heredity. Research says that the people in the Southeast Asian islands got the genes, and the Philippines is included in these countries. With that, the study says that most population of Denisovans passed through the islands of Southeast Asia, especially the Philippine Negrito Ethnic group.&nbsp;<br>In addition, Ayta Magbukon from the Philippines, who are commonly known as the Indigenous people, arrived at the information that 5 percent of their DNA are Denisovans. To compare with Papua New Guinea highlanders and Indigenous Australians, Ayta Magbukon evinced to have 30% to 40% of Denisovan Ancestry than the two. However, there will still be further studies to end the confusion between the genetic difference of Denisovan groups on the mainland and the islands of Southeast Asia.          <title>According to researches, the Ayta The Ayta Magbukon is said to have Denisovan DNA 30-40% greater than other humans around the globe. It was when mysterious remains was found in a cave in Siberia, but Philippine Negritos are thought to be the earliest human population to have migrated to the Philippines. There was evidence that many of the Negrito populations had previously mixed with East Asian populations, who have much less genetic contribution from Denisovans in their genome.  The information was proven with the aid of population genetic data and computational analyses that confirmed the Ayta Magbukon has the highest of Denisovan DNA in the world. Some believed they had lesser interbreeding with foreigners as for their traditions. Which caused them to maintain most of their inherited traits and having the highest Denisovan blood in them.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>To answer this particular question, One must first understand what and who were the Denisovan people.&nbsp; The denisovan people are the last known humans to have walked the earth before we did. The discovery of their remains in Siberia rewrote Human history as we know it (Wei-Haas,2021). Yes, I do believe that the Ayta people have the most "Denisovan DNA" in the world. To prove, Melchor (2021) stated that the ones that were considered most denisovan were the natives from Papua New Guinea, but through scientific testing it has been determined that our very own Ayta people have the most Denisovan genome. Particuarly, the Ayta Magbukon whose located primarily in Bataan has 30-40 percent similarity with the Denisovans making these people some of the most pure born descendants or relatives of our distant archaic relatives (Llemit,2021). Now, these wouldn't have been possible if these people have intermixed with others. However, these people have been isolated from common filipinos for hundreds of years starting from the landing of the spanish all the way to present time thus preserving their denisovan relativity which is absolutely fascinating.<br><br>Sources:<br>Llemit, K.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Denisovan is a population of early humans. According to studies the Denisovan population is closely related to another race which is the Neanderthal, they shared a common ancestor which is the Homo Sapiens. These two groups were believed to reside around Eurasia.&nbsp; On the other hand, the Denisovan fossils were found at the Denisovan cave in Siberia (A region in Russia, and historically Siberia includes all Russian territories in North Asia), the potential traces of Denisovans were not just bound at Siberia, there are also fossils from China, although these fossils were proven that it is not from Denisovans. With further studies, it is found that there were two distinct groups of Denisovans, those genes that were found in Mainland Asia and genes that were found in Melanesians.<br><br></div><div>Tracing back the History of the Philippine Ayta People, they had an Australo-Melanesian race or also called as Australoid race. These races have dark skin, wavy, straight, kinky, or silky hair, that is colored light brown. Unlike other Australo-Melanesians in other countries, the Philippine Ayta people retained their culture and preserve the genes that they acquire from their ancestors. The Ayta tribe is one of the tribes that resisted being penetrated by the colonizers, so we can assume that the Denisovan DNA is still embedded in their blood. &nbsp; With the studies that were conducted in the Aeta tribe, yes, they have the most Denisovan DNA, more than the other tribes that are similar to theirs.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Yes, I believe that they do. I have noticed before that their culture and physical attributes are different from us and just recently, Maximilian Larena and Mattias Jakobsson, have conducted a study that proves that the Philippine Ayta does indeed have Denisovan DNA. According to their study, they have about 5% of this DNA. This is relatively high compared to other pre-existing groups that they were also gathering data from. It was discovered that the early hominids that bred with Homo sapiens left genetic imprints on Southeast Asian Islands, Papua New Guinea, and Australia. The data that they have gathered paved a way to connect the evolutionary scenarios that were gathered by previous evolutionary geneticists. The highlanders from Papua New Guinea was believed to hold the record of having the highest percentage of Denisovan DNA but due to the recent discovery, it is actually the Ayta Magbukan who was said to have about 30 to 40 percent ancestry more than tribes from Papua New Guinea — this is due to the fact that the Ayta has bred less, therefore, they were able to retain more of the Denisovan DNA than other highlanders or tribes who were believed to also carry this kind of gene.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Reference:</div><div>Bower, B. To prove that the Aytas have the most Denisovan DNA, we must first try to piece out if such possibility is highly probable to occur. The Denisovans are a subspecies of humans that are closely similar to a Neanderthal. Before Homo sapiens dominated much of the human population, this particular subspecies of human intermingled with them. They were scattered through parts of Europe and western Asia. The proof of this can be found by how much traces of Denisovan DNAs have been found near parts of Papua New Guinea and Asia. Drawing from our first point, we can posit that it is possible that Denisovans have reached the parts of now modern day Philippines and intermingled with our early ancestors. They produced offspring that contained Denisovan DNAs but at the same time was repressed due to the Denisovan subspecies not being suitable towards the current conditions of the world. <br><br>Given that, we can conclude that it is possible for the Aytas to carry a Denisovan DNA, but why is it that they had the most? The previous record holder of the highest Denisovan DNA was a group of people from the Papua New Guinea. The remoteness that the jungles of New Guinea provides enabled the Denisovan DNA to remain at 4 percent. The Aytas, however, live in a much more secluded manner. Ever since the dawn of Spain, and perhaps even years before that (as the play of genetics in human evolution takes centuries), the Aytas lived in seclusion. They barred themselves from the lowland folks and the lowland folks did so vice versa. The remote mountains prevented a large volume of outsiders but also rendered the Aytas cut off from the rest of the Philippines. This is the reason why it should come as no shock that the Ayta people contained 5 percent of a Denisovan DNA.          <description><![CDATA[<div>When ancient hominids interbred with Homo Sapiens, it would result in Denisovan DNA. Denisovans are believed to have inhabited the Siberian Cave because researchers found their finger bones and teeth. Moreover, their DNA left many questions unanswered. The researchers believed that Denisovans migrated to Southeast Asian islands such as Papua New Guinea and Australia as they found fossils and witnessed the genetic imprint of the Denisovan DNA to the indigenous people of the said country/ island. In the further study of the researchers, they have found that the Ayta Magbukon of the Philippines has a higher percentage of Denisovan DNA in their genetics compared to Indigenous people of Papua New Guinea and of Australia. Growing up in a place where there are Aytas and seeing pictures of Denisovans during my research, I agree that Ayta Magbukon has the Denisovans DNA. It is not impossible for Ayta to preserve or still have the DNA even though the Denisovans are long gone because they have been isolated in the mountains. When Spaniards and Americans colonized our country, the Aytas were isolated and remained in the mountains. Denisovans are extinct species that have only been discovered about 10 years ago from a finger bone found in the Denisova cave where the name was derived from.&nbsp; This Denisovan DNA found in some ethnic groups like the Aytas was due to the interbreeding that happened between Denisovans and modern humans a long time ago. From Siberia, they track down possible groups of people with archaic ancestry and relating to Denisovan DNA. This is where they come across to the southeast Asian part of the world and our country with a long history of inhabitants composing of both mixes of modern and archaic ancestry. In one of the studies, a thousand individuals from various ethnic groups in our country have been examined for their genetic composition. This analysis allowed the researchers to discover that the Ayta Magbukon Negritos has the highest percentage of Denisovan DNA than any other prior researches. There were also other Negrito groups who had been found with these Denisovan DNA but lesser. Having up to 46% Denisovan ancestry, even much greater than the Australians and Papuans, the Ayta Magbukon has the highest Denisovan Ancestry in the world. They retained this high inherited archaic ancestry as they have bred less with others outside their tribe.<br><br></div>]]></description>

In a recent study, scientists found that the Philippine Ayta has the highest level of Denisovan ancestry and 46% higher proportion of Denisovan genes than those of Australians and Papuans ethnic groups who previously held the record. The researchers examined the genomes of 1,107 people from 118 different ethnic groups in the Philippines, which include "Negritos," who are believed to be the Philippines' first modern human inhabitants. They found that the Negrito’s Neanderthal ancestry are fairly uniform with the other groups and their Denisovan ancestry was substantially higher among other groups. Denisovans are an elusive bunch, known mainly from ancient DNA samples and traces of that DNA that the ancient hominids shared when they interbred with Homo sapiens. They left their biggest genetic imprint on people who now live in Southeast Asian islands, nearby Papua New Guinea and Australia. Genetic evidence now shows that a Philippine Negrito ethnic group has inherited the most Denisovan ancestry of all. Researchers from the Philippines and Sweden stumbled on the new findings as part of a wider study on human history in the Philippines that involved studying the genetic makeup of 118 different groups in the country. The study found that the Ayta Magbukon had around 5% Denisovan ancestry, more than Aboriginal Australians and Papuans, whom previous research found to have around 4%, said Mattias Jakobsson, a geneticist at Uppsala University in Sweden and an author of the study.&nbsp; Denisovan ancestory is also present in many East Asian people although at a much lower level, other studies have found.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Denisovans were a population of early humans who lived in Asia for a thousand of years before and even co-existed with modern humans in New Guinea. They were distantly related to the Neanderthals, another population of early humans in Europe and Western Asia. The Denisovans were first revealed by genes so they did not have proper classification and description until the pinky bone was found in the Denisova cave in Siberia. The Denisovan genes are also found in modern humans as based from the analysis of the scientists that the spread of Denisovans. From this, we can say that they have reached the Philippines which is part of South East Asia and interbred with the ancestors of modern Asian descent.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Negritos were the first inhabitants of our country and the analyses suggests that they have interbred with the Denisovans who settled in the islands of the Philippines.          <description><![CDATA[<div>According to a new study published last August 12, 2021, researchers in Sweden have observed that the Philippine Negrito Ethnic organization called the Ayta Magbukon, has the highest known Denisovan ancestry. With the genetic results suggesting that Denisovans also used to roam as far south as Indonesia, along with the fact that the Philippines was known to be first populated by ancient human beings, it is probable that indigenous tribes and modern humans came into contact with them. As a result of the interbreeding of these groups, this led to variable levels of Denisovan ancestry among Philippine Negritos. As to the concern regarding how they managed to possess 30%-40% greater Denisovan ancestry than their Australian and Papuan counterparts, I suppose it was because the Ayta people secluded themselves from the Spaniards in mountainous areas during colonization. The new study is part of a project aimed at finding out how the Philippines became populated. Previous interim results from the study have shown that Negritos, the ethnic group to which the Ayta Magbukon belong, were the first modern hominins to settle on the islands.
