I have never used this before, but I am super excited to try it, especially in 3rd. I would like to use this during independent work time and pull over small groups for remediation/intervention or even extending the learning to make it more challenging

Better than securly to make sure students are on task and to help them with problem areas. I like that you can see trends in data to see if you need to revisit anything whole group. I also like that I can see the specific problem a student is working on for when they come to my help table.

I usually have a student in each of my groups that I need to read questions out loud to. Keeping the IXL live next to me will help me monitor other kids while I am working 1 on 1!

I used it to make sure they were on the correct IXL, language arts or math during that class time.

This would help for when I have several students on different levels. I'll be able to 'talk' to them individually without their classmates knowing what they're struggling with.

I have not used IXL Live yet, but I am excited to do so. This will give me a better idea of how students are doing when I break between working with some small groups. I feel like I could call those students who are having trouble over to work through those issues.

I tried to use it to put all the kids on the same questions.... FAIL

I would use this to identify students struggling with a particular skill and offer remediation.

I haven't used this, but I'm excited to try! I especially like the feature that lets you see who is struggling and who is idle. Sometimes they look engaged but it turns out they haven't done anything!
