Applies to Blooms' Taxonomy under understanding and evaluating. Twitter is a social- networking application that enables users to send and read short messages to other users. The messages called tweets can be shared and favored. Since it is on a public forum, this application can be used for grades 8-12. If lower middle school students are supervised, then grades 6-7 can use the application. For evaluating, students can use twitter to host debates, discussions questions. Also, it allows for students to be engaged in literacy skills without even knowing it! It follows Iste Standards of 2. Communication and Collaboration, and #4 Critical Thinking, problem solving, and decision making. Good for all subjects: ILA, Social Studies, Science, even Math!
