8th February- I was introduced to the first years and got to know them all by walking around the class room during a group activity which included writing down all the different types of mental health they could think of and asking questions such as their name and hobbies .

15th- February- In the second lesson I'd taken over the class and planned a mental health and wellbeing activity which was a Daily Mood Tracker developed for people dealing with anger management issues but can be helpful for anyone who wants to track their mood understanding what triggers the students to get angry and loose their patience
It splits the day up into several two-hour blocks and asks the user to track their emotions, as well as allowing for notes to explain these moods.

22nd February- All the class watched a mental health clip explaining all areas of mental health which allowed the student to gain a bigger understanding such as triggers, signs/symptoms/ real life stories suchas speeches etc.

The lesson I volunteered in was a mental health and welbeing lesson which I have a lot of knowledge on as I was taught mental health and welbeing in my first year . I got to know all of the students and their personalities I was eager to help students and offer guidance especially the students who were shy and quiet I encouraged them to open up to peers which then encouraged others.

In my last lesson we reflected back on the first lesson to see how far as a class we had come and we came back to the mood tracker to see if our mood improved due to the new strategies we learnt about.

I've learned in the mental health and wellbeing lessons that a lot of students can relate to topics that are covered. And by learning and picking out all of the themes explored in mental health such as bravery, friendships, growth and mindset, PTSD, anxiety, depression etc. I've also gotten a psychological perspective on different children/students and how they operate by seeing how they react by a multiple of different scenarios relating to issues on mental health.
