There are birds and trees, 

Until the next day 

The leaves changes color  

throughout the seasons 

But it always goes back  

To the to the birds in the trees

The ice cream

 in the freezer

and which

saving for the weekend

 tasty 

So cold

and so minty

Flowers bursting into bloom

Fragrant roses all about

Colorful Easter eggs

Birds chirping throughout

The softness of the grass

So bright it makes you swoon

Circle 

you never  

end. Nor do  

you bend. You 

have no start  

or even a  

heart. Oh 

Circle 

Summer too hot 

Winter too cold 

Fall too messy 

But spring 

Spring, just right 

You can swim 

You can play 

You can bounce 

There are so many things to do 

So if I got to choose 

I’d choose spring! 

Green as the grass.

It pooped on my lawn.

It eats all day long!

It can sing so well.

It can fly.

I found a chicken.

Many people love them

Ethier because they are pricey or because they are pretty or both

Ruby's are too red for me

Always has to be green

Love them no matter what

Do what is best

Search far and wide to find them.

She pecks the corn with beaky beak; 

the back yard bathed in sunny streak, 

and struts and fluffs, her feathers on fleek. 

 

The daggered grass beneath her claws; 

she scratches always, just because, 

an Energizer bunny, without pause. 

I have eaten 

the plums that were in 

the icebox 

 

and which  

you were probably  

saving  

for breakfast 

 

forgive me  

they were so delicious  

so sweet  

and so cold 

I have eaten  

the last brownie 

in the pan 

 

and which 

you were probably 

saving 

for an afterschool snack 

 

forgive me 

it just went so perfectly 

with my coffee 

so chocolatey 

 

Hold on to the flag that flies high 
Even if we can’t pledge allegiance to it together each morning with pride 
Hold on to our children who seek education 
Even if our schools are closed 
Hold on to our Idaho outdoorsy-ness 
Even if playing on the playground is off limits 
Hold on to our grocery stores 
Even if horrible hoarders take toilet tissue 
Hold on to all that is good 
Even when we won’t see each other for a while...sigh... 

Majestic trees, too beautiful for words,

The kittens were happy, and purred.

 

A flurry of feathers, 

Bright sunny weather,

And four kittens, never better. 

That were in the freezer

 and which you were most likely

saving

 for your proposal. 

Forgive me 

They were so

 Delicious.

So sweet

and so crunchy.

The events gone through are as crazy as the thick and thin events of an adventure.
