When Ponyboy and Johnny went into hiding, they didn't really have anyone to look after them 24/7 so they had to mature and grow up and learn to take care of themselves.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>S.E Hinton develops loss of innocence by the setting because if the greasers or Socs are in a place they shouldn't be, the author will explain what the setting is and how its going to effect them. The author also develops the theme through characters by explaining who they are and what kind of person they are. The author also develops theme through the plot by explaining what is happening and using key words and foreshadowing to tell the reader what is going to happen. S.E. Hinton develops loss of innocence through setting, characters and plot over the course of the text</div>]]></description>
