         <description><![CDATA[<div>Phonemic Awareness Classroom Activities<br><br></div><div>Pop-it Sound it out!<br><br></div><div>A student will have a list of sight words in front of them. With each word, the student will sound out the word while pushing in the bubble on each sound. This activity can be modified to fit the needs of each student and can help ELL’s with their letter sounds. Students can be given short or longer words based on their knowledge level.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Rhyming Song: Word Identification<br><br></div><div>Children will sing the song “One Two Three Four Five” fish rhyming song together. After every rhyming pair, stop and discuss with your students if these words rhyme and why they rhyme.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Phonics Classroom Activities<br><br></div><div>Letter Sound Heads Up!<br><br></div><div>The teacher will place a notecard with a letter on it to where they cannot see it but the students can. Students will then make the sound of the letter for the teacher to guess which letter it is! This could be used with upper- or lower-case letters or a mix of both to ensure every child is getting their proper level of education.<br><br></div><div>Zoo Phonics<br><br></div><div>Zoo Phonics is a multi-sensory curriculum that pairs a letter with a friend and a sound and a motion. This is great for all age groups up to first grade. This curriculum also supports ELL’s as well as has adaptations for special needs.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
