Life in Germany was very harsh after the war. They lost the war which caused them to pay all the bills for what they destroyed leaving them hopeless.
2.  Many countries felt really bad for the Jews because they didn't really do anything bad and Hitler just used them as an excuse and since they were very weak and poor they couldn't do much about it. 
3. The key players in World War 2 were Hitler and all the other Nazi groups. Since the Germans attacked Poland, it was also considered as a key player!
