The music video which I will be creating for my Unit 1 course will be a western music video based on the song " Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi is an American band which have been producing songs for many years. I've chosen this song because the song gets a picture inside of you head. The image that I get in my head when I listen to this song is a western village, this is where I get the idea from. The song is 5 mins and 8 seconds, this is a good and decent length for my music video. The music video will start of is a western village, all calm and no bother. When the music starts to play, the villages and the sheriff start to senses a bad presents, the villain who is "Wanted Dead or Alive". It then focuses on the villain approaching the sheriff, as he does, each villager in every house goes indoors. This will cause tension in the music video, this is a good dramatic feel to the song. Then it will be a stand off between the sheriff and the villain

When the music gets into it dramatic part, it will be the start of the fight scene, this will involve gun shots, war, murder and the full western theme. It will involve some 'cheek ' humour into the music video. Making it 'cheesy' will make it more dramatic but entertaining for the viewers of the video. The sheriff gets injured and the villain walked away into the sunset with his prize. In my opinion, this will be a great music video to create as it will be funny but also sinister, this will be a new music video which will make this project a fun and exciting one to create and show.

Minutes meeting one.

1st team meeting for music video. Meeting started at: 11:51. Hannah: music video idea is "show me love", by Robbin S. It is a dance song, she is changing the dancing from a huge group into a single dance routes. She wants to make the song to have a strong meaning and surrealism to make it more realistic. Cameron: music video based on a song from Bon Jovi, "wanted Dead or Alive". Issue being is that the setting would be hard to come to find and it would cost a lot to get all of the props and costumes which would not be reliable. If we use a green screen, it would look comical which might not match the song if it is a serious song. Alex: song is "run boy run" by Woodkid. His idea is that we have a back story, a group of three or six people split into two groups, one group is bad and the other is good. It would be set in Harlow is a quiet location, the camera view will be first person which will make it more realistic. Actors will be white males, will need to get permission. He also doesn't know on what it will be about but he believes that it would be a good song. Jack: song is "Wonderwall". It would be shot on one wall with a guy playing the guitar. There will be animation happening in the background but Alex says that it would be too hard to make that happen as we would need a really good camera. Role decision: Cameraman: Jack. Editor: Alex. Director: Hannah. Producer: Cameron. Meeting finished at: 12:30.

Meeting started: 11:26. Alex: not sure whether to do idea anymore, he isn't sure why but he believes that he has net got a good enough idea. He hates ad songs and they are depressing, anything unrealistic will make us fail. He has done the script and story board, but he thinks it won't be good enough for the course. Cameron: if we try an modernise the idea of the song, Alex thinks it still will be to complex for this course and it might overrun our deadline. Cameron believes that it will be easier to make, as we will only need a few props and it will be easier to create and complete. Hannah: it's about a break up but it isn't, it confusing and it's surreal. A mixture of weird and wonderful events. Jack:idea was one shot on t he song. The figure sees himself and looking and he sees us past. He wants to move onto the future. Through a long discussion and debate, we all can to a conclusion that we should do Cameron's music video idea as we believe that this would be the best one for our course. Job roles: Cameron = director. Hannah = producer. Alex = editor. Jack = cameraman. Meeting finished: 11:51.

Meeting started: 11:16. Today is the final day of the music video production. We will be filming at lunch or after lunch as the actors are available. Alex will be editing all day. Meeting finished: 11:24.

Meeting started: 11:19. We are going to start on making the contracts for the six under ideals who will take part in the music video. Also, we need to create a Wanted Dead Or Alive poster which will be in the open scene of the music video. We will plan out a design for a money bag. We will compete the location recce sheet. We need actors, we need then ASAP. This is a draft of the Wanted dead or alive poster. Update: Jack has got another female actor for our second female villager. He is contacting more actors for the music video parts, we are also discussing whether to meet up on Friday 6th November to start filming the music video, POSSIBLE aim is to complete the whole video so Alex can start editing on Wednesday 11th November. Meeting started: 11:15 We have got the props and two actors, Cameron will email Sgt Steve from Harlow Police station so he knows where time we are at the filming shooting. We have two actors, thanks to Jack, they will be the villain and the sherif. Meaning that we would be able to film nearly the whole film. Which is a great news as Alex could start editing today. 😊 First we need to do is to take a photos of the villain face and put it on the poster, print off the poster and then get started filming. Jack will get all of the relive the equipment and then we can start filming. Cameron will take the CJHA productions folder so we can get the accurate times for each scene. 🎬 We also need to do call sheet and give them to Chris, this will let him know in what we are doing no and we can got our and start filming are western music video. Alec will edit when Cameron, Jack and Hannah have filmed all of the relevant scenes and then we will give the camera back to Alex so he can start editing. 🌵🎭 Meet finished: 11:26

Meeting started: 11:22. Start editing on where we finished off last. If Hannah turns up, we will start filming scenes 13,14 and 15. We will also re-do some scenes which don't work in the music video. We will also film the wind chime scene when Jack collects the wind chimes. If Hannah does turn up, Cameron will consult with the actors teacher and make an agreement to take the actors to the location and film the scene on what we need to complete. After lunch, Alex will start editing. Complete call sheet and check all documents. Meeting finished: 11:43.

Definition of a Shot Log and an Edit Decision List.

Shot Log:
A shot log is a written rocerd of the recorded shits on what you have recorded in the day. The shot log can be made either as the shoot progress on a daily record or ayer the shoots have finished at the end of the day. Camera-men use this as it helps them to keep track on what they have shooter in the day, on what time, scene and outcome of the shoot of the scene. This is then given to the Director or Prodcuer so they know on what has been completed on that day of shooting. There are no rules in regarding the format of the shot log, it all depends on the recording record on what you are creating, it helps you to see on where a bouts you are in the completion of the film / video so you can see whether you are behind or on schedule.

Edit Decision List:
A Edit Decision List is used in the post-production process of the editing of the film / video. The lost contains an ordered list of della dn timecode data representing where each video clip can be obtained in order to confirm the places of each scene and where all the audio should be placed or special effects or sounds. The list is created by office editing systems, or can be paper documents constructed by hand such as shot logging. This helps the editors to know on what order the scenes go in and where all of the visual and audio effects are placed in the ordered scenes.
