Competing out of our skins we came an impressive 3rd across all Stroud Schools! Well done all!!

This puts them through to the play off finals at Stroud rugby club next month.

Overall LS2 came 7th out of 27 teams, with LS1 coming 11th and LS3 13th. Fab day out competing in the sun! MrB

Lots of relays and field events spread out over all the 56 children.

Final results still to come, but LS A team came second, but everyone competed amazingly to score points for both teams - fab to see such team work, support for others and resilience across the events!

WELL DONE ALL!

All four teams were superb and very close behind.

With time at the end they looked at individual laps, with lots of ours keen to post a time for medals!

We left with Ezzy C having the fastest girl’s time and Seb first boy, Stanley a close 3rd behind.

Both teams competed well, with our A team securing bronze medals

Once again the children performed brilliantly to come 1st and 3rd, leaving us next to represent the Stroud in the County finals!

The children had to do combinations of swim - bike - run to get to the finish line.

Great effort from the children - always a tiring one!!

The Y3/4 team was dealt an early blow with sickness hitting the team and having only 6 players, not 7. This never stopped them winning all 4 group games to play off for the medals. First they earned a good draw against Hardwicke, and then beat Foxmoor just before the final whistle to come first and bring home the trophy! Next is the District finals at Shortwood’s ground on Wed 22 October - fingers crossed!

They all played well in cold conditions and won many matches in the groups.

The Y3/4 team and one of the 5/6 teams won their groups (winning all their matches). This put both into a 3-way playoff for medals. 3/4s beat Foxmoor then Bussage to win the Gold. This was then followed by 5/6s who firstly beat Kings Stanley then won against Rodborough to also take the Gold.

They scored enough points and came 3rd overall, receiving bronze medals.

The 3/4s beat Amberley 5-2 and beat Foxmoor 5-4 (in a great nip and tuck game). In their last game against Sheepscombe, they romped home 9-0 to take the trophy and 1st place.

The Y5/6s beat Birdlip 6-3 in their first game, then beat Rodborough 5-2. The last match against Thrupp (who had won both of their matches too) was for the gold medal! Early on they went behind 0-2, but showed great resilience and team spirit to battle back to 2-2. This left a nervous wait to see who had come top. As we were both on equal points, we came 1st on tries scored.

Amazing finish to a great night!!

First game they grabbed a late goal to beat Woodchester, and then had a hard battle against Callowell and drew 1-1. Final game against Foxmoor was a tough game - but we were at our best and defended solidly. Our counter attack was on point too, with us scoring two great break away goals, to win 2-0 and take first place.

Great evening with all who came to watch - well done all!
