The main invasion Germany did was the invasion of Poland because this is what is seen as the start of the war having Britain and France declare war on them. This march had the Japanese forced prisoners to march 50 miles and were treated cruelly with no sympathy. The last main aggressive act by them is the Rape of Nanjing. In 1937. the Japanese invaded Nanjing and murdered thousands of people including innocent people. The Japanese were building military bases on this island, but now since it's destroyed, it is known as the island of death. This was the start of the group Nazi's downfall. The last battle to list that was a turning point in the war is the Battle of Stalingrad in August 1942  between the Germans and the Soviets. Characterizes all force power of tanks, artillery, and air power, overwhelming force at a fast rate that breaks through enemy lines, and, once the lines are broken, flank will happen. The blitzkrieg tries to keep its enemy off-balance, making it harder to respond. Another strategy was used by the Japanese specifically was a suicidal plane attack carrying bombs to enemy warships. Scorched Earth is another strategy used in WWII were soldiers would destroy everything of property and resources so that the enemy won't use it against them. The Soviets used this tactic against the Germans so that the Germans would not eat nor have a home in the cold climate of Russia. The last strategy called island hopping, used by the Allied Powers to bypass enemy bases and focus the limited Allied resources on strategically important islands that were not well defended, but capable of supporting the drive to the main islands of the Axis Powers. The ones who targeted the Jews were the Nazi's for their beliefs to rise in power. Jews were being discriminated and treated horribly when not killed off. From 1933 to 1945 were the Jews lived in a terrible life. This genocide was developed in a series of steps. The first being the Nuremberg Laws, laws that deprived Jews of their rights. Second being and event in 1938 named Kristallnacht, violent act were Jews were attacked and had their streets destroyed. Another key step of the Holocaust was the ghettos. These areas had the Jews be separated from the rest of the population to a poor conditioned area where many died due to starvation and diseases and even being killed off by the Nazis. The last act from the Holocaust is the Final Solution. This name is the German goal to get rid of all European Jews.
