Hello, I am Meryem Berk. I am working as an education counselor since 2004. I have prior counselling experience with age groups starting from 5 years old, up to 24 years old. I am working as an advisory teacher and psychological counselor at primary schools and preschools since 2011. I mainly work with students who need psychosocial support and students with special needs. In this project I am working with our students who are part of “Learning Outside” project and need more psychological guidance. I believe that, this project will contribute to our students’ social and emotional development, their ability to express themselves and their sense of responsibility.

I worked with a great team on my first eTwinning project. In our country, the transition of schools to distance education due to Covid19 made our work difficult, but we did not give up working. We turned this difficult process into an advantage with the interest of our students and the support of their parents. With this project, my students started to express themselves more easily and their shyness decreased. Both me and my students have learned to use many web2 tools. Our view of nature has changed. Our awareness of living things in nature has increased. My students have learned to take responsibility and be part of a group. I think I have achieved my personal goals in the project. I would like to thank all my project partners, students and their parents for their support.
