The Call of the Wild: A Book Review on "Women Who Run with the Wolves" by C. P. Estés

Have you ever felt an unexplainable pull towards something more primal, more instinctual? "Women Who Run with the Wolves" is not just a book, but a journey into the depths of the female psyche, exploring ancient wisdom of myths, fairy tales and folklore to reconnect women with their intuition.

The book weaves together psychology, storytelling and spirituality in a poetic and insightful way. Through Estés' breathing into forgotten tales, she reveals key insights into intuition, creativity and resilience. A striking aspect is Estés' capability to speak to every type of woman —whether you are seeing empowerment, healing or self-discovery, there is a story for you.

This said, this is not a light read (and the reason why this review might not have a 5/5 stars) as it demands patience, reflection and willingness to understand Estés' lyrical style which may not be for everyone.

Overall, "Women Who Run with the Wolves" is a must-read for those who wish to reconnect with their wild, untamed essence (or understand it) regardless of gender. If you are interested in topics such as self-reclamation, mythology and psychology, this is the book for you!

4.5/5
