- The Epiphany is January 6th and symbolizes the birth of Jesus. This day marks the end of the Christmas season. On this day, children wake up and find presents from the Befana (the giver of gifts) , who flies down on her broomstick, through the chimney.
- Liberation Day is celebrated the the 25th of April and commemorates the liberation of Italy by allied troops in the second world war. This holiday is meant to honor all those who died during the war, from soldiers, to civilian victims of Allied bombings and atrocities committed during Nazi Germanys' retreat.
-Ferragosto is the most loved Holiday in Italy. Celebrated on the fifteenth of August, it honors Mary's Assumption to Heaven, where Catholic belief says she sits beside her Son, Jesus.
