A free bird leaps

on the back of the wind   

and floats downstream   

till the current ends

and dips his wing

in the orange sun rays

and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks

down his narrow cage

can seldom see through

his bars of rage

his wings are clipped and   

his feet are tied

so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings   

with a fearful trill   

of things unknown   

but longed for still   

and his tune is heard   

on the distant hill   

for the caged bird   

sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze

and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees

and the fat worms waiting on a dawn bright lawn

and he names the sky his own

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams   

his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream   

his wings are clipped and his feet are tied   

so he opens his throat to sing.

Spilling everywhere

I am very chilly now.

Why? Its april and it rains.

Limerick: Oh wow, are you wet?
Well no, not yet.

What if I spill it over?
What if I use my four leaf clover?

Bet.

Why? Similar reason, except with more of the growth of the rain and drinking water.

Rhyming: I see the rain, it sometimes makes me have pain.
It makes me wet and muddy, so will my little buddy
I don’t like being drenched, which is why i’m benched.

Why? I don't like the rain.

Free verse: Water is WET, i dont like being SOAKed. Too bad I have to go in the yucky bath.


Why? I dont like to take a shower/bath! (most confusing :/)

Choice (limerick): I like drinking juice.
Even though im taking a break on tennis deuce,
It helps me cool down
I might go to town,
Then I realize i'm the equivalent to an angle that's obtuse.

Why? a joke and I want to be similar with liquid themed poems.

I wonder what would happen if  Humans went Extinct
