Pyramus and Romeo were both mislead when they saw Thisbe's cloak (torn apart and blood all over it) and Juliet sleeping (due to the potion given to her by Friar Lawrence, making it appear as though she is dead) and both men thought that Thisbe/Juliet was dead.

"For here lies Juliet, and her beauty makes This vault a feasting presence full of light. Death, lie thou here, by a dead man interred." (Romeo and Juliet 5.3.85-88)

"Before him lay the bloodstained shreds of the cloak and clear in the dust were the tracks of the lioness. The conclusion was inevitable. He never doubted that he knew all. Thisbe was dead."
("Pyramus and Thisbe" pg. 948)

In "Pyramus and Thisbe" everyone knew that mulberries were white, but after Pyramus and Thisbe died the mulberries were now red from the blood of Pyramus and Thisbe dying. This relates to the feud with the Capulet and Montague families. In Romeo and Juliet, everyone knew about the feud between the Capulet and Montague families, but after Romeo and Juliet died the feud stopped between the families.

Shakespeare writes, "Whose misadventures piteous overthrows/Doth with their bury their parents' strife," (Prologue.7-8).

Ovid writes, "The change in color came about strangely and sadly.
