The fundamental principles that we must note and implement in seeking knowledge is variety.

1) Sincere Intention

In order to seek a blessed knowledge of Allah, we need to set an intention that seeking knowledge is only to attain for Allah's pleasure and not just merely for worldly life affairs like to seek justification from people and to be known as someone knowledgeable.

2) Firm Determination

A strong enthusiasm towards gaining knowledge must be shown as it is one of adab in seeking knowledge. The third adab is humility and respect. When we seek knowledge with our teacher, we must lower our voice so our teacher's voice is louder than us indicate respect towards them.

3) Patience and Perseverance

For example, when asking questions to our teacher we need to ask them politely with a low voice and never louder than our teacher.

4) Doa to Allah in Seeking Knowledge

Making "dua" (prayer) while seeking knowledge is important because it demonstrates a sincere intention to gain knowledge for the sake of Allah, aligning your pursuit with divine guidance and asking for His help to truly understand and utilize the knowledge gained

Hadith Jibril is about a man dressed in extremely white clothes with very black hair that sat down very close to the prophet and said "O Muhammad! inform me about Islam". The messenger of Allah replied that Islam is when one testifies himself that there's no other God than Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.

The messenger also highlights that one should perform prayer, pay zakat, fast during Ramadhan and Perform Hajj if one is able to.

Next, that guy asked about Iman.Prophet replied, "It is that you believe in Allah and His angels and His Books and His Messengers and in the Last Day, and in qadar (fate), both in its good and in its evil aspects."

After that, the man asked about ihsan. Prophet replied, "It is that you should serve Allah as though you could see Him, for though you cannot see Him yet (know that) He sees you."

Afterward, the man asked about the Hour. Prophet replied that the questioner know better. Then, the man asked for the signs. Prophet replied, "They are that the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress, that you will see the barefooted, naked, destitute, the herdsmen of the sheep (competing with each other) in raising lofty buildings."

Thereupon the man went of. Umar waited a while, and then he (the Messenger of Allah) said, "O Umar, do you know who that questioner was?" Umar replied, "Allah and His Messenger know better." The messenger of Allah said, "That was Jibril (the Angel Gabriel). He came to teach you your religion."

Ihsan

Ihsan is an important concept in Islam that means excellence, perfection, and doing good. It is often described as the highest level of faith, where a person worships and serves God as if they can see Him, even though they cannot. The concept of Ihsan is deeply connected to sincerity, kindness, and moral integrity.

The day of judgement

In Islam, the Day of Judgment is the day when all humans will be resurrected and held accountable for their deeds. The Quran and Hadith describe it as a day of immense terror and justice, where every soul will be judged fairly by Allah.

Major Signs

1)The Appearance of the Mahdi — A righteous leader, Imam Mahdi, will emerge to restore justice. He will fight oppression and prepare for the coming of Isa.

2) The Appearance of Dajjal — A one-eyed deceiver who will claim to be divine. He will perform false miracles and mislead many.Only the true believers will recognize him.The Return of Prophet Isa.He will descend in Damascus, Syria.He will kill Dajjal and restore justice.

3)The Emergence of Ya'juj and Ma'juj — Barbaric tribes who will spread destruction on Earth. They will drink entire lakes dry and cause chaos. Allah will destroy them with divine punishment.

1) Believe in Allah

Allah is eternal because he need no help. "To believe in Allah" means to fully accept and acknowledge the Islamic concept of God, which is that Allah is the one and only true God, the Creator of the universe, and the sole entity worthy of worship.

2) Believe in Angel

Angels' creation is solely to show Allah's greatness in creating his creation. Angels often remember Allah and have their own role. One of them is to pray for human well being. Those whom angel dedicated his dua for are people who wait for obligatory prayer with wudhu, people who are in the first and second line as well as right side of the line during congregational prayer, people who during congregational prayer Said amin after imam recite Al-Fatihah, people who pray congregational subuh prayer and wait after the prayer for rememberance of Allah (zikir), people who pray for others without them knowing, people who donated for Allah and lastly, people who preach.

3) Believe in the Books

Al-Quran is created from Allah and is considered the final revelation from God, providing guidance for all aspects of life, including moral values, social interactions, and worship practices, offering a complete message for humanity until the Day of Judgement.

4) Believe in Rasul and Anbiya'

Prophets were chosen by Allah to reveal his truth. They are responsible for delivering God's message without altering it. The final prophet in Islam, known as the "Seal of the Prophets". The Qur'an was formed from the revelations Muhammad received from Allah.

5) Believe in the Day of Judgement

The affairs of this world are not as important as the hereafter.

We need to always give alms because it will increase our wealth and not reduce it. The nature of generosity shows the strength of a person's faith because they donate in the way of Allah.

6) Believe in Qada' and Qadar

Allah says in the Quran "Indeed We created every creature according to destiny"

In today's class we learned about adab towards parents in regards with verse 41-50 of Surah Maryam.

Adab towards parents

1) Speak Softly with your parents

2) Speak in respectful way

3) Have patience while dealing with our parents

4) Listen to our parents

5) Keep asking for blessing for Muslim parents

6) Being humble to our parents

1. Spiritual Discipline and Self-Control
   - Regular worship such as prayer and fasting instills discipline, patience, and control over desires which is essential qualities for wise decision-making.

2. Increased Taqwa
   - Consistent ibadah develops taqwa, making a person more conscious of right and wrong, which is the foundation of acting with wisdom.

3. Purification of the Soul (Tazkiyah al-Nafs)
   - Worship purifies the heart from arrogance, envy, and heedlessness, allowing wisdom to emerge from a sound and sincere heart.

4. Encouragement of Reflection and Thought
   - Acts like zikir and dua promote mindfulness and contemplation, helping a person gain insight into life’s challenges and Allah’s wisdom in them.

1. Sincere Connection with Allah (Ikhlāṣ)

When worship is done with sincerity, it draws a person closer to Allah. This closeness allows the heart to receive divine guidance and understanding.

2. Training the Mind and Soul

Acts of worship discipline the mind and purify the soul. A purified heart becomes more capable of recognizing truth and making wise decisions.

3. Continuous Remembrance of Allah (Dhikr)

Regular dhikr sharpens awareness and keeps the heart awake. A heart that remembers Allah regularly is more reflective, focused, and wise.

-The intention in the heart to perform prayer sincerely for Allah alone.

-Wudhu is required if not already in a clean state

3. Clean Clothing and Body

-Ensure clothes and body are free from physical impurities

-Clothing should cover the aurat

4. Clean Prayer Space

-The place of prayer should be clean and free of impurities.

1) Brings Success and Forgiveness

Salah performed with khushu is a sign of true belief and leads to success in this life and the next. It also becomes a means for past sins to be forgiven when done with sincerity and proper focus.

2) Provides Inner Peace and Closeness to Allah

Khusuk in salah brings calmness to the heart, removes anxiety, and strengthens the spiritual connection with Allah. It turns worship into a meaningful, uplifting experience.

3) Protects from Sin and Builds Character

Focused salah with khushu helps in staying away from immoral actions and strengthens one’s character and discipline, as Allah says that salah prevents fahsha (indecency) and munkar (evil).

1. Fasting leads to taqwa (God-consciousness)

Sawm helps control desires and increases awareness of Allah, as mentioned in the Qur’an: “so that you may attain taqwa” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183).

2. Fasting has a special reward from Allah

According to a hadith qudsi, Allah says: “Fasting is for Me, and I will reward it.” (Bukhari) – showing its unique and high value in the sight of Allah.

3. Fasting is a shield and a gate to Jannah

Sawm protects from sin and hellfire, and those who fast will enter Jannah through a special gate called Rayyan (Bukhari & Muslim).

1. Hajj wipes away all past sins

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity or sin will return [from it] like the day his mother gave birth to him.”

(Muttafaqun ‘alayh – Bukhari & Muslim). This shows that a sincere Hajj purifies a person completely from past sins.

2. Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam

Hajj is a fard (obligatory duty) and one of the five pillars of Islam.

• Performing it with sincerity fulfills a major act of worship and obedience to Allah.

3. Great rewards and acceptance of duas

During Hajj, acts like tawaf, sai, standing at Arafah, and duas are highly rewarded.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“There is no reward for an accepted Hajj (Hajj mabroor) except Paradise.”

(Bukhari)
