We used costume to emphasize these ideas by dressing her in Breton stripes and blue jeans which gave her an all-American 'girl next door look'. 
  
The make- up we used was subtle, and along with the high- key lighting, worked to suggest her supposed innocence and purity. We also framed her in suburban surroundings to further point to her role as home-maker and as somebody to be trusted. 

I think our representation of Amy Dunne was successful because in our audience feedback many people pointed to the fact that she was set up to be the victim, not attacker.
