<title>‘Belonging’ is complex and is sometimes different from ‘having a sense of belonging’. A ‘sense of belonging’ is owned by the person who chooses (or not) to belong. So to facilitate belonging as an internal sense or feeling, rather than an obligation, we must have bottom-up ideas, which will allow someone, if they so choose, to find their own sense of place, role and purpose within a group, in order to feel that ‘sense of belonging’.</title>
